ROB RUN Game Guide: Beginner Route & First Heist
Start ROB RUN game with a practical beginner route: scout Looty Bay, prepare tools, choose a small target, sell loot, and protect your first payout.
Start With a Reconnaissance Run
ROB RUN game drops several interconnected systems on a new player at once. The safest way to make them understandable is to separate learning the city from trying to profit from it.
Kefir’s official gameplay overview says a player becomes a Criminal when they put on a mask. Before that point, you can explore Looty Bay, inspect potential targets, and work out escape routes. Use that opening to find the bank, identify fence vans marked with dollar signs, and learn more than one way out of the area you intend to visit.
Community guides also recommend opening a Looty Bay Bank account before starting criminal activity. Some noncriminal services require Civilian status, and simply removing a mask may not immediately restore it; community testing says leaving and returning to the city clears the status.
In-game scope: This page describes fictional mechanics inside ROB RUN game. It is not advice for real-world activity.
Learn What Your Equipment Does
Before selling every item you find, visit the trading area at Lenny’s Motel and inspect the items required for heist tools. Community footage shows drills, decoders, and glass cutters among the available tool types. Requirements can change during Early Access, so treat specific recipes shown in old footage as Unconfirmed until your current build displays them.
Lockpicks are repeatedly demonstrated in community videos as a quieter way to enter some buildings. A rear entrance can make your presence less obvious than a broken alarm or a visibly open front door. This is player experience, not a guarantee that police will never arrive.
Inventory shortcuts reported by one beginner video are also Unconfirmed and may vary with your key bindings:
| Action | Reported default | Caution |
|---|---|---|
| Aim in first person | B | Check your own control settings |
| Move an item between containers | Control + click | Test in a safe location |
| Split a stack | Alt + click | Confirm the result before moving valuables |
| Delete an item | Hold X + click | Deletion may not drop a recoverable item |
Choose a Manageable First Target
The official store describes a range from corner stores and jewelry shops to bank vaults and police armories. Gear, keys, and preparation affect what the same location can yield. For a first run, a small store or another low-complexity target gives you a better chance to learn the complete loop than a high-traffic premium location.
Use this preparation checklist:
- Choose where you will sell before choosing what to rob.
- Park for a fast departure rather than for the shortest walk.
- Carry the entry tool your target actually requires.
- Decide what event ends the run: a full bag, police contact, or a downed teammate.
- Keep enough inventory space to collect the result without a long stop.
The walkthrough turns this into an ordered first-run sequence, while the tips file explains arrest and surrender tradeoffs.
Understand the Money Loop
Progression is structured around money and valuables. Official material lists gear, vehicle keys, weapon modifications, room keys, blueprints, and land deeds as possible finds, but cash and saleable valuables remain the central prize.
A robbery is not complete when an item enters your bag. You still need to reach a buyer, complete the sale, and collect the money from the counter. Community footage shows that leaving payment unattended creates another opportunity to lose it. Selling in smaller batches is a player-reported way to reduce time spent standing at the counter.
Notoriety rises as a crime spree continues within Looty Bay. Kefir says higher Notoriety means better loot and higher payout rates, with risk rising alongside it. There is no reason to maximize the meter on every trip: once the bag contains a worthwhile result, securing it can be the stronger play.
Build Toward a Hideout and a Crew
The official store says you can create and upgrade a hideout, store loot and vehicles, and place workbenches and safes. A more developed refuge can also attract more intruders, so property is another risk decision rather than a free upgrade.
Parties are separate from clans. A community co-op guide citing Kefir’s Help Center reports a three-player party cap and a larger clan cap; treat those exact limits as Unconfirmed until the current official help page or in-game UI confirms them. For a small crew, assigning entry, carrying, and lookout responsibilities is more useful than bringing three identical loadouts.
When you are ready for the next systems, browse the wiki index, confirm the PC requirements, or use the community links to find official discussion channels.
